During fiscal year 2009, SMART recruited, trained and managed 5,707 volunteers who helped 7,244 children become confident readers. We are grateful to the people and organizations that have made financial commitments to build brighter futures for thousands of little readers throughout the state.
We dedicate this section in special memory of Bob Evans, our friend and SMART staff member who passed away in 2009.

There are 20 individuals and family foundations who gave $10,000 or more during the 2009 fiscal year.
There are 116 individuals and family foundations who gave $1,000-9,999 during the 2009 fiscal year.
There are 76 businesses, corporations and organizations who gave $1,000-9,999 during the 2009 fiscal year.
Honoring donors who support SMART through will/estate planning. They help ensure that SMART will always be available to future generations. It currently has 22 members.
