Volunteer Manager
The volunteer manager is responsible for creating and implementing a statewide volunteer plan and campaign to meet SMART’s annual volunteer goals.
A key component of this job is to work closely with field and development managers to determine appropriate volunteer goals, strategies and action plans for each area.
The volunteer manager will also work closely with the marketing/PR manager to develop and promote appropriate volunteer tools, resources and messaging.
This position requires approximately 50% travel time across the state of Oregon.

This position is responsible for all aspects of the SMART program in the area, including local fundraising, program quality, safety and volunteer recruitment.
The manager is responsible for recruiting, training and managing SMART site coordinators; recruiting volunteers; building relationships with school personnel; and ensuring achievement of program standards.
The manager will assist Development Director to develop and manage volunteer “chapters” as well as conduct other fundraising initiatives to secure sustainable funding and volunteers.

Seeking a dynamic, team-oriented Area Assistant to be a part of our successful early literacy program in Umatilla/Morrow Counties. Must have experience coordinating and conducting the day-to-day administrative and clerical duties of an office.
This position is responsible for performing general office duties, basic financial operations and maintaining up-to-date volunteer records. The Area Assistant must be a self-starter who is goal-oriented, professional and a successful problem-solver. This is a part-time position of approximately 10 hours per week.
