Employee volunteers from Starbucks and Intel are holding the 10th annual Bridgetown Book Drive during the month of October to support elementary schools participating in the SMART reading program. New and gently used books are being collected at Portland and neighboring area Starbucks stores. Non-children's books will be donated to the Volunteers of America (VOA) Oregon Family Programs. The Bridgetown Book Drive has helped collect and distribute over 52,000 books over the past nine years to 34 schools, early reading non-profits, and to VOA Oregon Family Programs.
