Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties
The SMART Metro Area team implements SMART and raises funds to support SMART in the Portland Metro area. In 2011-2012, we served 2,644 PreK through third-grade children with the help of 1,695 local volunteers. We are focused on recruiting more volunteers and establishing strong financial support among our communities to ensure we can continue this important work of empowering local children through reading.
